Stephen has welcomed a whole host of guests from the Pavilion to his Radio Norfolk show over the years and we're hugely excited that he's agreed to take up the role.

Of the new partnership, Stephen commented "Being a Gorleston boy myself I was absolutely thrilled when asked to become a patron. The building has fascinated me since childhood. Itās such a glorious salute to the townās Edwardian past. However, it would be many a year before I had the chance to step inside.
"During my time as a radio presenter, Gorleston Pavilion Theatre has given me the opportunity to meet and interview so many of the performers from its wide range of shows. Iāve always been impressed by the theatreās ability to stage all and everything from stand-up and pantomime to lavish musicals and the ever-popular Summer Showtime.
"I really do applaud the Pavilionās involvement with local theatre groups, giving an opportunity for young, promising talent to sparkle and shine."
Alex Youngs, Chair of Trustees for the Gorleston Pavilion Trust said "I will never forget my first radio show interview with Stephen. He is such a genuinely lovely guy and settling into the chair at Radio Norfolk was always like having a natter with an old friend. He has an uncanny ability to put everyone at ease.
"Stephen has also been so generous at championing us for so many years and I was absolutely over the moon when he agreed to become a patron of ours."
Stephen joins the likes of Danny Boyle and Helen McDermott as patron of the Pavilion and will hopefully be making an appearance on the Pavilion stage in the not too distant future - keep your eyes peeled!
