Today the Mayor Councillor Penny Carpenter and our Chair of Trustees Alex Youngs unveiled a new Blue Plaque on the building along with a £50k fundraising campaign for urgent repairs to the building.

The Mayor personally purchased the first brick from our 'Buy-a-Brick' campaign to commemorate her tenure as Mayor and Alex purchased the second brick dedicated to the life and work of previous Theatre operators Stuart Malkovich and Kevin Lynch.
The Gorleston Pavilion Trust are the new custodians of the Pavilion Theatre and have launched a fundraising campaign to fund urgent repair works required for the roof and other parts of the building.
Chair of Trustees Alex Youngs said of the launch "It's so great to finally see the Blue Plaque on our building as it's a hugely important part of the local walking trail, which helps to raise vital awareness of the historic buildings in our borough.
"Today's fundraising launch is a big step forwards in our 5-10 year plan to completely refurbish and restore our beautiful Edwardian theatre building."
